CoSynHealth scientific Webinar – How can integrated heat stress modeling help us design sustainable...

The CoSynHealth junior research group, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR), investigates how climate change mitigation and climate adaptation measures interact in urban environments, where potential trade-offs may arise, and how synergies can be leveraged. Using advanced computational models, the group analyzes the impacts of different urban planning strategies on the local urban climate and on heat-related health risks. The findings are intended to support the design of sustainable, climate-resilient, and healthy cities. In close collaboration with public authorities and through active stakeholder engagement, the project also develops innovative future scenarios for urban neighborhoods to inform evidence-based planning and decision-making.
